What is the strawberry line?

The Strawberry Line is a network of shared pathways that provide an opportunity to socialize, exercise or clear the mind while enjoying the magical beauty of the Somerset countryside. They follow the old Cheddar Valley Line railway route that in the past, delivered strawberries to city markets.

There are many finished sections of pathway connected by lanes & quiet on-road stretches between Shepton Mallet & Clevedon in North Somerset. It's hoped that in the future, these paths will form a 29 mile vehicleless route all the way to the coast. More funding is crucial to make this dream come true.

My two videos provide information on accessibility (finding the entrances), all the health & well-being benefits of using the paths plus what you can expect to discover when you're there. One of the paths featured is hosted by The Somerset Circle & is included for its huge Historical interest.

These pathways are maintained by dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly all year round to keep them looking good.
If you'd like to volunteer to help, you can start the process here.

Meantime, I hope you enjoy these fun Red Door Films videos and they will enhance your visit to The Strawberry Line Shared Pathways of Somerset.
